TODAY IN CLASS
1. Completed the "Agenda Speech" (King Claudius speaking to the court at the start of Act 1, Scene 2)
2. Selected students read parts from the end of that speech to the beginning of Hamlet's soliloquy in that same scene.
3. We mostly discussed that section--perhaps a few loose ends to pick up on Monday.
FOR HOMEWORK
Read to the end of SCENE 2. Read it well, and use the notes on the facing page in your book. Re-read the summary at the beginning of the scene to remind yourself about "what" is going on.
You might have some questions, yes, but you should have a reasonably good idea of "what happens." We'll use what you've figured out on your own as the foundation for moving forward.
