TODAY IN CLASS
1. Hamlet's first soliloquy (Act 1, Scene 2); summarizing content by "chunks" using the boxed hand-out.
2. 3rd/4th: compared the start of two films of Hamlet, continued with the second until the start of the "Agenda speech" (into Laertes' requiest in 4th). In 6th, we just played one, and didn't reach Scene 2.
FOR TUESDAY
1. You should already have finished reading Scene 2 over the week-end.
2. Read Scene 3.
Answer (own paper; ink)--the first six questions on today's hand-out.
(1-3 are still on Scene 2; 4-6 are Scene 3 up to the point where Polonius comes in and starts giving advice to Laertes.)
