TODAY IN CLASS
1.Discussion of end of Scene 1
2. Good start on the "Agenda Speeech" at the start of Scene 2.
(in 6th, we'll need to pick up with the "jointress" significance)

TOMORROW
More of Scene 2, with an eye toward questions like this:
Judging by speech and on-stage actions so far, is Claudius a good king?
Why is he treating Laertes and Hamlet differently with respect to their similar requests?
What possible real motivation could he have for his decision re: Hamlet?
What's bothering Hamlet the most in his first soliloquy?
What's unusual (maybe even odd) about the way in which Hamlet greets Horatio? (How long has Horation been there?)
